Careers after VERTEX
You don’t have to want a startup. You have to want to be good.
Path one
You want to get hired, at a level you couldn’t reach otherwise
You arrive with proof, not promises
You walk into interviews with real company work you can defend line by line, while everyone else has a transcript.
The operators teaching you are the ones hiring
Founders and senior operators see your work up close for months. That is the shortest job pipeline that exists.
You skip the queue entirely
No placement season, no aptitude test, no resume screen. People who watched you deliver make the call.
You become the hire nobody wants to lose
Founder’s office, growth, product, revenue: the roles that compound into running things.
Path two
You want to build your own thing, and want someone to back it
You build it here, not after here
Your venture gets built during the programme, with operators stress-testing it weekly.
VERTEX Studio writes the first cheque
The strongest ventures from each cohort get backed by the institution itself.
You are not pitching cold
Warm investor intros through the people already invested in your outcome.
And if it doesn’t work, path one is still open
The skills that make a founder are exactly what makes you unhireable-at-a-discount.
Most people arrive not knowing which path is theirs. That is normal, and it is fine. You do not have to decide before you walk in.

Questions about careers
What do students learn at VERTEX?
How to solve a real business problem in front of people who can tell the difference. The work is live company mandates judged by founders and operators, so the skills are the ones that show up in what you ship, sell and fix. They apply whether you go on to start a company or take a role with real ownership inside someone else’s.
What careers can students pursue after VERTEX?
Two directions. Builders who want to get hired aim at the roles that compound into running things: founder’s office, growth, product and revenue. Builders who start a company can be backed by VERTEX Studio, which writes first cheques into the strongest ventures from each cohort.
Does VERTEX provide career support?
Yes, through its network rather than a placement season. The founders and operators who teach see your work up close for months, and they are also the people who hire. PGP builders who don’t start a company get a direct line to hiring operators, and members keep access to a private job board after the programme ends. There is no placement season, aptitude test or resume screen: people who watched you deliver make the call.
Does VERTEX publish placement or salary figures?
Not yet, because there are none to publish: applications have not opened and the founding cohort has not started.
In ten years, the people running India’s best companies will not come from where you expect. They will come from VERTEX.
Some of them will have founded those companies. Most will be the ones those companies could not function without. The founding cohort will be small, and the list gets first access. Put your name down before the rest of the country finds out.
