What is The VERTEX School of Business?
The VERTEX School of Business is a business school in Delhi NCR, India, that describes itself as India’s first Builder School. It is built around a network of founders and operators rather than a degree: students work on live company mandates from day one, there are no exams, and teaching is done by founders and operators instead of professors. It offers three programmes: the flagship VERTEX PGP, VERTEX Bharat and VERTEX Foundry.
What actually makes this different from an MBA?
An MBA teaches you to analyse businesses. VERTEX exists to make you someone who can actually run one, whether that is your own company or a serious role inside somebody else’s. The difference shows up in three places: you work live mandates inside real companies instead of reading case studies about them, you are taught by founders and operators rather than career academics, and the people teaching you are also the people who hire and fund. That last one is the real test. Ask any institution you are considering what happens to their economics if you succeed. For almost all of them, the honest answer is nothing.
Is this a UGC-recognised degree?
No, and that is deliberate. VERTEX is not a degree-granting university and is not seeking UGC or AICTE accreditation. We are not competing to hand you a piece of paper: that market is saturated, and the paper loses value every year AI gets better at passing the exams behind it. What you leave with instead is a documented record of real work for real companies and a network of operators who watched you produce it. Be clear-eyed about this: if your target is a government role, a licensed profession, or a foreign masters that requires an accredited undergraduate degree, you need a university and we will tell you so. What we build is the thing that gets you hired or funded on the strength of your work, which is what the rest of the market now actually screens for.

How does VERTEX teach business?
Through live company mandates rather than case studies. Each builder is handed a live problem inside a real business, with a real operator waiting on the answer, and presents to the people whose money is on the line. Teaching comes from founders and operators, and there are no exams: your record is what you shipped, what you sold, what you fixed, and what a room of founders said about it.
Who teaches at VERTEX?
Founders and operators. VERTEX does not hire professors. It converts founder and operator relationships into teaching faculty: people who have carried a target, raised a round, shipped a product and made payroll.
Does VERTEX have exams?
No. VERTEX has zero exams. You are judged on output: what you shipped, what you sold, what you fixed, and what a room of founders said about it.

VERTEX Bharat is for people who learn by moving: eight weeks across eight cities, learning India’s economy by standing inside it. The PGP is the full thing: deepest network access, Studio backing if you build, and the most direct line to hiring operators if you don’t. Strong performers in the shorter formats get fast-tracked toward the flagship, so starting small is a genuine path in, not a consolation prize.

What do students learn at VERTEX?

Do I need a startup idea already?
No, and you never have to have one. A large share of every cohort will finish without starting a company, and they are not second-class here. They leave with something arguably more bankable: a record of real work that makes them one of the most hireable people in the room. If you do have an idea, you will move faster and the Studio may back it. If you do not, you are still in exactly the right place.

Who is this actually for?
Two kinds of people, and they are equally welcome here. The first wants to start something. The second wants a career that actually goes somewhere: a role with real ownership, at a level a normal degree will not get them. Both need the same thing: the ability to walk into a room and solve a real business problem in front of people who can tell the difference. What we are not built for is someone who wants to coast through a brand name and be handed a safe outcome. If you would rather earn the outcome than be assigned one, you are the right fit, whichever of the two paths you take.

Careers and outcomes
What careers can students pursue after VERTEX?
Two directions. Builders who want to get hired aim at the roles that compound into running things: founder’s office, growth, product and revenue. Builders who start a company can be backed by VERTEX Studio, which writes first cheques into the strongest ventures from each cohort.
Does VERTEX provide career support?
Yes, through its network rather than a placement season. The founders and operators who teach see your work up close for months, and they are also the people who hire. PGP builders who don’t start a company get a direct line to hiring operators, and members keep access to a private job board after the programme ends. There is no placement season, aptitude test or resume screen: people who watched you deliver make the call.
Does VERTEX publish placement or salary figures?
Not yet, because there are none to publish: applications have not opened and the founding cohort has not started.

What is VERTEX Studio?
VERTEX Studio backs the strongest ventures from every cohort with first-cheque capital. Builders who start something during the programme can be funded before they graduate, without pitching outside investors cold, and get investor intros from day one. It also means the institution only does well when its builders do.
